Roberts and the Red Storm student-athletes discussed the upcoming season and touched upon a myriad of other BIG EAST and college basketball topics with reporters from the New York City area and the national media.
Jasiulionis, who attended media day, crossed over to the "media" side of things and interviewed athletes and coaches from around the league. Beginning on Thursday, fans can catch the 6-11 Lithuanian big man's special media day report via StormTracker All-Access, which features behind-the-scenes clips and interviews with the likes of Louisville head coach Rick Pitino, Notre Dame's returning BIG EAST Player of the Year Luke Harangody, new Providence head coach Keno Davis and many more, including his Red Storm teammates.
St. John's was picked 14th in the 2008-09 preseason vote of the league's head coaches. With nine first-place votes and 214 total points, Connecticut is the favorite to win the regular-season title in the 2008-09 Preseason Coaches' Poll, followed by Louisville, which received 205 points.
Notre Dame junior Harangody was named the 2008-09 BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year, also voted upon by the league's head coaches. Georgetown's Greg Monroe and Louisville's Samardo Samuels were selected as the BIG EAST Preseason Co-Rookies of the Year.
