Rivals Road Trip: 5 days, 1,500 miles, 12 games

We say goodbye to the Bay Area and head for Southern California -- first stop, Kyle Boller's former stomping grounds for the Hart High School Holiday Classic.

Game 1, 3pm: Village Christian and Cal-target Bennie Boatwright square off against Grant High (Los Angeles).

2015's No. 35 overall player, Boatwright is first and foremost, a scorer. He's grown to a legitimate 6-9 but rarely plays with his back to the basket. He has unlimited range and has improved his quickness markedly thanks in part to a steady diet of track workouts. Boatwright doesn't have the quickest first step in the world but with his length, the 4-Star doesn't necessarily need one.

Against Grant, Boatwright's lethal scoring ability is on full display. He drops 17 points in the first quarter, 26 by halftime, and finishes with 33 points and 15 rebounds in his team's 82-54 victory.
